Hello All! I am working for 91.9 WCLK The Jazz of the City, a NPR and Clark Atlanta Station this summer. I listened to their music throughout highschool, and especially to Morris Baxter on "Morris in the Mornings." Every morning he told inspiring stories and shared enlightened quotes. I applied last year, but I was interning at Jump! broadcast design last year. I was really excited to be able to work at WCLK this year. I hope you all enjoy my summer portfolio! The images in my portfolio were posted in email-advertisments to WCLK patrons, made in to flyers, placed in the Atlanta Tribune and added on the WCLK website.

Here I have an advertisment for Rene' Miller's "The Miller Mix" event. This event is an "afterwork cool down" friday nights at the delectable Sweet Auburn Bistro. She is a very popular DJ and Host at WCLK whose show"Sunday Jazz Brunch" showcases some of the best artists in the city.

Here is another "awwww...." moment for a WCLK logo. I was asked by my manager to create a child-like image of WCLK. So, I came up with this design.

WCLK was looking for some homey touches for its logo, so I manipulated it for this "For the Love of WCLK" image- a piece that was supposed to remind listeners of the "good ole' days" in a warm and fuzzy kind of way. By the way, a lot of changes have taken place in Jazz, especially in the Jazz community in Atlanta. WCLK is THE ONLY JAZZ STATION IN THE CITY now...While I didn't have any love lost for the rival station, this just makes me meditate on the future of the jazz artform.

This was the original concept that I used for her "Remix." It did not make the final cut, but I did like the idea nonetheless. Since she is a DJ, a record and mixing machine were my inspirations.

Here is an advertisement I did for Rene' Miller's "Remix" events in Atlanta. Rene' is a very popular host for WCLK's Sunday Jazz Brunch, and she is such a character!
